News
ImageJ is a programme of process and image analysis of public domain ("open source"), made in Java language. Its author,
Wayne Rasband worked for the Research Services Branch, National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. There exist versions of the programmme for Windows, Mac and Linux. As years have gone by,
the programme has been complemented by a growing number of plugins and macros, developed by a great number of collaborators. These plugins can add convenience to the original programme.

The Photonic Microscopy and Image Processing Unit of the University of Oviedo use the programme ImageJ Fiji as a tool for the
processing analysis of images obtained with the equipment of confocal microscopy and preclinic image at the University of Oviedo. Its aim, to facilitate its use for non-advanced users, has made both data packages
based on ImageJ and Fiji for its use with images of confocal laser microscopy and images preclinic equipment (micropCT, PET-CT and NMR). The programmes made are:
